Nursing in Germany without German — is it really possible?

Some agents imply you can nurse in Germany with no German. That's not true — but you can start the journey earlier than you'd expect, and finish your language in Germany while earning.

The realistic minimum

  • You need at least B1 (all 4 modules) to get a contract and begin.
  • With B1, you complete mandatory B2 training in Germany (~4 months) while living and earning there.
  • With B2 already, you skip that step and move faster toward the Kenntnisprüfung.

Why German isn't optional

Patient safety and documentation are in German, and the nursing recognition (Anerkennung) and Kenntnisprüfung require it. So the real question isn't “without German,” it's “how early can I start?” — and the answer is B1.

Final-year students can even pre-register so we begin the process while you finish your qualification.
